The world revolves around Economics, from a basic activity such as buying raw materials to a complex activity such as running a business. But what would've happened if the Marvel Avengers actually existed?
Well economically speaking, it would have been a disaster. The amount of destruction caused by the avengers would lead not only to severe economic loss but also what would've happened if Thanos had actually wiped out half of all life? Thanos predicted that overpopulation would lead to catastrophe. Rather than seeing swaths of people suffer, he decides that decreasing the population would be the right way of responding to limited resources. Well clearly he had been short-sighted as any exponential population growth process will soon replace the lost population. The only lasting solution is an economy that uses resources at a sustainable rate. When it comes to real estate, the demand for new houses would go down, while supply would go up. The result would be a huge drop in the price of housing. Also there would be a total chaos and collapse of all institutions.
In ''The Avengers'' during the battle of New York, the World Security Council ordered Nick Fury to launch a nuclear missile at New York City to end the invasion but Stark intercepted the missile and guided it through the portal toward the Chitauri fleet. I think that this was a pretty rash decision by the leaders as if the Avengers wouldn't have been there the complete city would have been demolished. So now, lets look at it politically, the police and military will want to preserve their usefulness to society and have frequent issues with the Avengers, but people like Nick Fury and S.H.I.E.L.D. will be needed to do the public relations and legal complications in the world of the Avengers. They will need to pull up a set of legal documents such as The Sokovia Accords which is going to serve as a "middle point" between the Avengers' desire to secure world peace and the international community's concern over the repercussions of the Avengers' actions.
Although, it might create division among the public. Some will root for the Avengers, others will not. If the group doesn't endure in the midst of this trying moment, they'll break apart on the basis of diverging views and may be disbanded if care is not taken.
It'll take an absolutely overwhelming world threat to bring them back together.
And Then,
Avengers Assemble!
